Can I use this apple for- juicing or cider-making

Schematic showing what is and is not acceptable damage to apples used for juicing or cider-making

It is important that apples used for juicing or cider-making do not contain active rot or penetrating damage from insects. However, minor bruising or surface marks are not a problem. At Vale Cider we select apples carefully to exclude those with rot and insect damage.
